About
MADRE is a social wellness club in El Poblado built around contrast therapy: a Finnish sauna that the club calls the largest in Latin America, held at 80 to 90°C for up to 40 people, and four marine-grade steel ice baths kept between 4 and 8°C. A visit is a 90-minute session, and the club suggests three or four rounds of 10 to 20 minutes in the heat, 1 to 3 minutes in the cold and 5 to 10 minutes of rest. Towels, lockers, showers and water are provided, and the building also has a private rooftop lounge and a café and juice bar. It welcomes solo visitors as well as groups, and every session is booked ahead through its website or the kiosk at the door.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a session at MADRE cost?
The club's membership page lists a single session at COP 100,000, a five-session pack at COP 400,000 and a ten-session pack at COP 700,000. Credits never expire. A Founding Membership with unlimited sessions, priority booking and members-only events is listed at COP 450,000 a month as a limited-time offer.
What should I bring?
Only a swimsuit, which is required in the sauna and the baths. MADRE provides towels, lockers, showers and water. It is a shoeless facility, so you leave your footwear at the entrance and go barefoot.
How long is a session and when should I arrive?
A session is 90 minutes. The time you book is a 15-minute arrival window, and the club suggests arriving about 10 minutes early to change. On a first visit you check in at the front kiosk and sign the liability waiver and Code of Conduct once.
How long should I stay in the ice bath?
The club suggests 1 to 3 minutes in the ice bath after 10 to 20 minutes in the sauna, followed by rest, repeating the cycle at your own pace. It asks for a 30-second rinse before you get into the water.
When is MADRE open and how do I book?
Monday to Friday 16:00 to 22:00, and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 to 22:00. Book through your account at vivamadre.com or at the in-studio kiosk; each arrival window has a fixed capacity and there is no waitlist. Payment is in Colombian pesos by card, Nequi, PSE, Bancolombia QR or Daviplata, and no cash is taken.
