Privacy policy

The short version: we only collect what you type into our forms, we use it to reply to you and run the site, and we never sell it. Last updated 29 July 2026.

Who we are

BestMedellin (bestmedellin.com) is a neutral English-language property listings site for Medellín, Colombia. For anything related to your personal data, write to hola@bestmedellin.com. That inbox is our official data-rights channel and we answer from it.

What we collect and why

We collect personal data in exactly two places, and only what you choose to send:

The contact form: your name, email address, and message. We use them to answer your question and for nothing else.
The agency form: agency name, contact name, email, and an optional WhatsApp number. We use them to set up and manage your listings on the site and to reply to you about them.

If an agency emails us property listings, we publish the business information in them (agency name, contact channel, property details) with that agency's written permission. Buyers who enquire about a listing deal with the agency directly; the conversation is between you and them.

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, update it, or delete it, and you can withdraw a permission you gave us earlier. Email hola@bestmedellin.com and we will act on it within two business days for listings and within the legal terms for everything else.

Aviso de privacidad (Ley 1581 de 2012)

BestMedellin trata datos personales conforme al régimen colombiano de protección de datos (Ley 1581 de 2012 y sus decretos reglamentarios). Recogemos únicamente los datos que ustedes envían por nuestros formularios o por correo: nombre, correo electrónico, teléfono o WhatsApp, y la información de la agencia y de sus inmuebles cuando nos la comparten para publicarla.

Finalidades: responder sus solicitudes, gestionar la publicación de sus listados con su autorización, y enviarles las comunicaciones que ustedes pidieron. No vendemos ni cedemos sus datos a terceros.

Sus derechos: conocer, actualizar, rectificar y suprimir sus datos, y revocar la autorización otorgada. El canal para ejercerlos es hola@bestmedellin.com. Atendemos consultas y reclamos en los términos de la ley.

Al enviar cualquiera de nuestros formularios, o al respondernos con sus listados, ustedes autorizan este tratamiento con las finalidades descritas aquí.
