The Museo de Antioquia is an art museum in the centre of Medellín, a few steps from Parque Berrío, with its main home in the former Palacio Municipal. Its permanent galleries include the Sala Fernando Botero, an international art hall built on Botero's donation of his own collection, and rooms on early 20th-century art, the mid-century Urban generation and the art of today; the North and South galleries hold temporary exhibitions. The institution is more than 140 years old, and the visit can end at its café, restaurant, bookshop or shop.

By Car
Enter by Calle Cundinamarca (Carrera 53), where the museum's car park has direct access to its rear entrance.
By Public Transport
Parque Berrío station on Metro Line A leaves you practically at the door, and the Carabobo pedestrian walkway connects directly with the museum. Buses heading downtown along Avenida de Greiff or Avenida Carabobo (Carrera 52) also stop nearby.

Monday to Saturday from 9:40 to 17:30, and Sundays and public holidays from 9:40 to 16:30.
Can I take photos inside?
Not in the Sala Botero, where the works are for looking at, not photographing. In the other galleries photos are allowed without flash.
Can I bring food or a pet?
Food is allowed only in the café and restaurant spaces, not in the galleries. To protect the works, only emotional support animals are admitted.
