About
El Club del Jazz is a jazz club and cultural centre in the centre of Medellín, at Calle 54 #45-11, on the corner of Caracas and El Palo. It was founded on 23 July 2011 by its director, Christian Salgado B., and is now a non-profit corporation that brings jazz to the city through concerts, talks, listening workshops, a radio programme and jam sessions. A typical jam night opens with a concert by the house band, then musicians in the room take the stage; the club has a piano, guitar, drums and double bass on site. Seats are booked ahead, and the club is adults only.

When is El Club del Jazz open?
Wednesday to Friday from 17:00 to 23:00. It also opens some Tuesdays or Saturdays when national or international artists are on the programme.
I am a musician. Can I play at the jam?
Yes. Musicians who play get in free: tell the door you are a musician and give your full name. Piano, guitar, drums and double bass are on site, so bring your own instrument only if it is something else. If you decide not to play, you pay the entry.
Can children come?
No. Under-18s are not admitted, and neither are pets.
What if I need to cancel my booking?
Cancel in writing at least two hours before the start for a refund less a 20% service charge. Cancellations with less than two hours' notice, or no-shows, are not refunded.
